Hello, I’m Forrest Detwiler. You heard me right, Forrest. With two R’s. Run, Forrest, run. Never heard it. I’m 26 years old from the South Shore of Massachusetts. I love to travel and I always have. My grandparents briefly took me to live with them in Switzerland when I was ten years old and I haven’t stopped since. During the summers, I work as a bartender and help run a restaurant on the utter west end of one of the prettiest islands in the world. In the past five years, I have traveled to over 40 countries and been to Africa, Asia, Europe, Australia and was obviously born in North America. In 2016, I passed both the national and practical examination to become a Safari Guide in Southern Africa, hence where I generally spend half of my year. My goal is to continue to explore the African continent and use my knowledge and training to provide an authentic African experience for you, away from the glare of a tourist’s camera.
Yes, that is me on the right. Yes, I did have the honor of harvesting this majestic bull kudu. I’ve been ethically hunting since the age of five and if you can find a bigger proponent of conservation, then I’ll delete this site.
